Ashley Clinic
Founded in 1938 by Dr. Samuel Ashley and his son, Dr. George “Ed” Ashley, the Ashley Clinic has a long-standing tradition of providing high-quality care to the community. Joined by Dr. Glen Ashley in 1947 and later expanded with the expertise of general surgeon Dr. Don Abbuehl in 1952, the clinic has grown to offer a wide range of medical specialties. Dr. Abbuehl’s role as the first board-certified surgeon in Chanute played a key part in helping the local hospital achieve accreditation. Today, the Ashley Clinic continues to serve a growing population with a commitment to whole-person care, guided by its core values of excellence, integrity, and access to care for all. With a vision for thriving communities and a dedication to advancing the field, the clinic remains a cornerstone of healthcare in the region.
